This is the world famous Pink Sands beach that stretches just about the entire length of the island, thats known for, you guessed it, the Pink Sand. It was voted one of the worlds most beautiful beaches by Travel and Leisure magazine a few years back.
This picture is not an exaggeration, it usually is this empty and this beautiful. Take note of the lone swimmer in the water. Unless its during peak season when you might find 50 - 100 people basking in the sun, this is typically what we have most of the year. So as you can imagine its hard to go to other beaches around the world and fight for beach real estate.
My wife and I often joke about how if there are more than 10 people on this beach at any given time "the beach is packed, and its time to go home."
